The Kinabalu Camping program takes you to Sayap Substation – a little used ranger outpost on the perimeter of Kinabalu National Park – surrounded by vast jungles in a temperate climate, with an abundance of biodiversity. Located at 1,080 meters above sea level, the primary rainforest is filled with orchids, giant trees, and waterfalls. The campsite sits along a beautiful mountain river, with western toilets and showers.
|Accommodation||You will be sleeping in tents provided with sleeping mat, sleeping bags and warm blanket.|

|Depart from Kota Kinabalu at 9:00 AM for a 2 hours drive to the Kinabalu Park substation. We will set up camp and then eat lunch, before departing on a trek to Kemantis Waterfall. Swim in the cool water that is coming from the top of Mt. Kinabalu. We will return to camp for dinner, before heading out on a night walk to search for reptiles, amphibians, and mammals.|
|Today, you will trek on one of the many great trails around Sayap. Follow the beautiful mountain rivers, as we do a 6 km trek to discover the flora and fauna of Mt. Kinabalu. Return for lunch and spend the afternoon on short walks, or relaxing by the river. After dinner, head out for night walk.|
|Take an early morning birding walk, return for breakfast and return to Kota Kinabalu. Arrive by 12:00 PM.|

*Warm clothes are very important for this hike as it is cold in the evening because we camp around 1,000 meters asl.
