JOB ROLE & DESCRIPTION:

Sticky Rice Travel is a fast-growing, innovative, socially and environmentally conscious travel company. As a part of the team, the Content Creator is an established creative, with a proven track-record of timely and consistent brand work. This role would be the sole executor of creative marketing deliverables under the direction of the Marketing Communications Manager.

You will be responsible for maintaining the brand deliverables both offline and online presence, the planning and implementation of marketing communication strategies, creative writing, and assisting the department on an ad-hoc basis for creative deliverables.

You would play a vital role working closely with the Marketing Communications Manager and Webmaster to spearhead department strategies and objectives. Creative and critical thinkers, problem solvers, and result driven individuals are encouraged to apply. REPORTING TO:

Marketing Communications Manager or General Manager (when first reporting line is not available)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

GENERAL

  • Contribute towards and facilitate the development of marketing campaigns for a list of offline and online deliverables including online media publications, website, schedule meetings, create timelines, and assist with the annual marketing communications plan and required performance reporting
  • Assist, organize, coordinate and execute tasks and projects outlined by the Marketing Communications Manager
  • Keen eye for detail and a flare for creativity showcasing the very best that Malaysian Borneo has to offer

Detailed roles and responsibilities:

  • Contribute to full execution process with team, including ideation, feedback and final delivery that encompasses offline and online branded collaterals to promote growth and engagement of company’s accounts
  • Able to communicate the brand DNA and story through still as well as motion and written content according to best practices
  • Ensure that all content is grammatically correct, factually accurate and that the writing style is consistent within the voices of our brand
  • Lead creation and planning of real-time content and live events (i.e. cultural events/topics, holidays, seasonal, company or department outings, on-the-field updates, trainings, etc.)
  • Organize, backup and archive all content including labelling and filing of our digital library.
  • Monitor social trends, website checks, research brand fanbase behaviour and competitors’ activities to identify opportunities and key issues
  • Create reports, analyse and give updates on website and social media performance
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as required that may be outside of this job description

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Heavy background in social media and digital content production, as well as visual branding and storytelling experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, as well as organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Able to pitch and execute innovative, next level ideas
  • Possess a strong eye for type and layout in design
  • Demonstrate ability to think creatively and on your feet
  • Ability to quickly build brand affinity to understand the company’s tone, voice and face in an offline and online atmosphere
  • Ability to analyze and learn from reporting data and insights; SEO management and brand health
  • Strong familiarity with web technologies and social media platforms; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube including publication scheduling platform; Later, using cloud based; G-Suite for workload management and execution as well as email marketing platform; MailChimp
  • Self-motivated and eager to take an idea or task and run with it, willingness to learn
  • Ability to identify wildlife of Borneo or use an ID book to accurately identify animals in photos
