A full day of adventure awaits when you decide to raft the Padas River! The Padas is located in a remote part of South Western Sabah which is currently best reached by train. After disembarking from the scenic railway ride at the Pangi station you will be served some light refreshment followed by a safety briefing conducted by experienced, professional rafting guides.
Within twenty minutes, your heart will be pounding as you shoot the rapids of the Padas River and experience some of the most exciting Class III & IV white water rafting in all of South East Asia. You will traverse 7 thrilling rapids including The Cobra, The Lambada, and The Head Hunter and cover a distance of 9 kilometers over the course of 1.5 hours before finally ending at the Rayoh railway station to enjoy lunch. Afterwards transfer back to Kota Kinabalu where you can share with others the story of how you conquered the mighty Padas river!
At about 5:00AM, picked up by your guide at your hotel and transfer to Beaufort Railway Station, a journey of about 2 hours through scenic countryside. Upon arrival at 7:00AM, ride the train to the rafting starting point Pangi, a 1.5 – 2 hours train ride, switching trains halfway at Rayoh Station for luggage dropping/ changing clothes. At about 9:30AM, light refreshment is served upon arrival prior to the safety briefing. Start rafting at 10:30AM, going through rapid after rapid of excitement, and finally finishing at Rayoh station, the ending point. Rafting time is around 1.5 – 2 hours or 20km. Lunch will be served and at 1:00PM, ride the train back to Beaufort station followed by a transfer back to the city. Estimated arrival time in Kota Kinabalu is at 6pm.

Padas: Minimum age for children is 12 years old, and the Padas program is suitable for skilled and advanced paddlers. Beginners with a streak of adventure are also welcomed.
