Accommodation

We book you into our preferred accommodations at Sepilok, and you can choose below based on your budget range: 

• Sepilok Nature Resort or Sepilok Forest Edge (standard option) 
• Paganakan Dii Tropical Retreat (budget option)

Day 1

Pick up at the airport in the morning upon arrival for a full day exploration of the Sepilok-Kabili Forest Reserve area. Visit the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre for a morning feeding, followed by a visit to the Sunbear center next door. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, proceed to hotel in Sepilok for check-in and rest and relax before going out again at mid-afternoon to the Rainforest Discovery Center. Here, explore some of the trails and visit the excellent canopy walkway for some wildlife and bird watching. At sundown, transfer back to your hotel. Dinner on your own.

Day 2

Pick-up from your Sandakan hotel at 9:00 AM for transfer to Pulau Sipadan Resort jetty. Upon arrival, depart to Lankayan Island on the 10:00 AM scheduled boat (75 minutes boat ride). Register, check-in and settle into your chalet on the island. Rest of the day free at your own leisure. If you are a diver, there will be an orientation dive before lunch and another boat dive at 3:00 PM. If booked on a non-diver package, rest of the day free at your own leisure.

Day 3

Breakfast at the resort. Divers will go on 3 boat dives in front of the Dive Center. Non-divers free at leisure – you are free to rent snorkel gear and snorkel off the beach at the house reef.

Day 4

Early morning after breakfast at 7:00 AM, depart the resort to return to Pulau Sipadan Resort jetty for drop off at your hotel in Sandakan, Sepilok or airport. Estimated time of arrival in Sandakan is at 8:30 AM.

Accommodation in Sepilok, guide in Sepilok including all entrance fees, all connecting ground transfers, fullboard meals including afternoon snacks, coffee, tea & drinking water, marine conservation fees, return land and boat transfers from Sandakan. 

Diver package: 3 guided boat dives daily except on arrival & departure day, tank, weight and weight belts

Camera fees, if applicable at Sepilok attractions, meals not stated, diver package (dive gear available for rent), non-diver package (snorkel gear available for rent, boat snorkeling – min 2pax, 50RM per person)

What to Bring?

Head lamp, mosquito repellent, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, dry bag, swimwear, walking shoes, flip flops, money (no ATM), water bottle, toiletries, basic first aid kit.

Departure

Daily based on a minimum booking of 2pax per departure. Single supplement applies for solo travelers.
