If you’re an avid diver and your focus in Semporna is to dive Sipadan, then look no further than Seaventures. What was once an exploration jackup rig is now a rig resort, furnished with simple and basic accommodation, with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. If you are a certified diver, Seaventures offers free unlimited house reef diving – just help yourself to a tank and a buddy and enjoy a leisurely dive! Not a diver yet? Their dive center offers the PADI Open Water course, and a myriad of other advanced diving courses. Stay a minimum of 4D3N to have access to Sipadan permits (upon availability).
Family room and twin/double room (air conditioning and ensuite with hot water showers) and dorm rooms (4 beds, air conditioning and communal hot water showers).
Buffet style in eating area, no a la carte orders. Vegetarians and special diets catered for.
Games room – ping pong table and pool table, conference room, sundeck lounge, maindeck lounge (also open-air dining area), Wi-Fi, IDD, PADI dive center.
Pick-up from your hotel in Tawau or airport and transfer to Semporna jetty for connection to Seaventures Dive Rig via a 45 minutes boat ride, on the 10:00 AM or 12:30 PM scheduled boat. The only other transfer is at 4:30 PM but you will not be diving on Day 1 if you depart on this transfer. Upon arrival, register and check-in, followed by a briefing by the Seaventures Dive Team. Check out dive underneath the Rig and if you are qualified for night diving, you can do a night dive with your buddy.
Lunch / Dinner
Breakfast in the morning before going out on 3 boat dives between Mabul, Kapalai or Sipadan. You also have unlimited access to house reef diving with your buddy underneath the Rig. At the end of the day, relax or explore Mabul Island on the daily shuttle to Mabul.

After breakfast, you have a maximum of 2 boat dives for divers without flight departing on the same day. Then, check out at 1:30 PM followed by boat transfer back to Semporna for your onward travels.

Return scheduled land/boat connections from Tawau town or airport (based on scheduled time), full board meals, free flow coffee/tea and light snacks, accommodation.
Diver package: 3 daily boat dives between Mabul/Kapalai or Sipadan Island except on arrival & departure day. Sipadan diving is subject to permit approval and quota availability. Unlimited house reef diving with buddy without guide. Tanks, weights & weight belts provided.

Sipadan permit is chargeable at 40RM per person, per day – subject to availability & approval. You also need a minimum 3 nights stay to have access to Sipadan permits.
Non-diver package: Snorkel gear available for rent, boat snorkeling
Sunscreen, mosquito repellent, swim wear, waterproof bag, hat, sunglasses, dive/snorkel gear, hat, flip flop/sandals, camera, dry bag, money (no ATM), water bottle, toiletries, basic first aid kit.
Daily based on a minimum booking of 2pax per departure. Single supplement applies for solo travellers.
Avid divers wanting to maximize diving in the Semporna Archipelago including Sipadan Island, or beginners intending to qualify as Open Water Divers.
